Xa'thun - The Riverlands

The Riverlands are a rich an fertile land, that can roughly be divided into the coastal marshes, the flood plains and the dry lands.
The Coastal Marshes is a transitional land between the salt water sea and fresh water lakes, providing unique versitility in terms of the crops that are grown in the region, as well as rich peat soil that sustians rich growth of root vegetables and hazel trees. The coast also provides plently of fish and is one the largest fishing indutries in the league and a plentitude of species, now in direct competition with The Ostfjorn for the title.
The Flood plains is a large Alluvial plain, providing for rich forest and farmland along the lenght of the many rivers that carve and snake across southern Andaras. Countless civilazations have risen and fallen for the control of the rivers, but the ever moving rivers have never been kind to those who have conguered them, swaying and moving with the years in unpredictable patterns. Having earned the rivers the name of Karlk's veins. The land supports not only rich wild life, but also the areas largest export, that of red pepper of many different varieties.
The Western riverlands referred to as the drylands, is a large area where the river once flowed, having long since moved, the land is rich deposit of minerals carried by the river, rich flatwoods and open grass fields. Old abbandoned cities left behind as the river moved, ruined and once flooded ruins, many give these places a wide birth, as many of them are haunted by their ancient tyrants who refused to move with time.
