Kingdom of Rethenia

Rethenia is a mostly grassland country well known for its vast farming land and large region in the Athendale forest as well as a country of relative fortune, depending on where you live. The culture of Rethenia has a steep root in military and warfare. Whilst not constantly at war, there are many small local wars between lords and dukes over century old feuds or land claims. However it is mostly peaceful.
The structure of Rethenia’s hierarchies is a basic feudal system, ending in a king. However, the church’s various sects hold vast sway in their government unlike many others who favour a mage's advice and service. Lords in Rethenia prefer a more clerical approach.

Key Country Features

Summertower

Summer tower is a palace that the Hightower family often live in. It is stationed a few miles away from Sivitas, giving it a peaceful air. However being away from civilization also gives it a target on it’s back as well as making the oddd monster wander by and cause problems.

Brattlebrook Hills

The Brattlebrook hills are a set of grassland in the north of Rethenia. A peaceful place where very few monsters roat. A place of natural beauty. There are many tales of people retiring to the Brattlebrook hills.

Athendale forest

Rethenia has a sizable border through the Athendale forest owning a sizable chunk within it’s control. This wood is the same as the rest of the Athendale forest, small tribes and all. Rethenia is welcoming to the tribal folk, but not welcoming to their ways. This relation is not hostile but is stubborn.

Known Monsters & Creatures

Goblins

Rethenia’s landscape is perfect for goblins. Many have taken to running wild in the grasslands of the countryside, raiding and pillaging farms whilst holding small bandit outposts.

Unicorns

A breed of horse with a horn on its forehead. Unicorns are known to have many magical abilities as well as religious connotations. For this reason unicorns are seen as blessed creatures that should be left to their own devices and uninterfered. Claiming one as a steed in Rethenia is seen as despicable. However they are amazing steeds.

Centaurs

The vast grasslands of Rethenia also feed vast amounts of centaurs. Centaurs are actually a very intelligent race, however not necessarily considered humanoid. They often keep to themselves and are by definition Nomadic.
