Planes of existence / Cosmology

The planes of existence is the catch-all term for the of myriads alternate dimensions in the reality of Hir. The Planes often get modelled into a formation with the Centreplane in the middle, as it is they typical mundane world of Hir. Beyond that the planes diverge into the metaphysical, before spanning to the realms of the dreamscape, slowly drifting further and further away from the Centreplane.

The Real Planes

The centre of the Planes of Existance is the planet of Hir in three forms. The first of these forms is what is considered as it's neutral form, the Centreplane. The Centreplane is the most mundane and typical of all the planes, it is temperate and has two moons. As Distorted mirrors to the Centreplane is the Feywild and Shadowfell .   The Feywild  is an abundant luscious world of life, vitality and nature with all the good and bad that comes with. However as for landscape it is a less extreme version of the Centreplane . The mountains are smaller, valleys and oceans not as deep, the landscape is much more smooth for the mostpart, however rivers and lakes still manage to carry over their main features. Other than the hard stone the Feywild  is also an almost total dense jungle forest or by most accounts to those that have visited from the Centreplane.   The Shadowfell is the opposite, a lifeless dark place with little to no life in the form of beasts or creatures. Instead monsters of magic and night stalk it's more extreme lands. Here the mountains are higher, valleys deeper and generally the landscape becomes much more rocky and chaotic. Not many visit the Shadowfell as it is an incredibly dangerous place though, those that have note that the structure built on the Centreplane often have counterparts in the Shadowfell . A small town bight be a strange warped visage in the Shadowfell .

The Metaphysical Planes

The Metaphysical planes are generally regarded as the building blocks for all of reality in Hir. Flames across the planes mimic those in the Eternal Flames, water mimics the ocean of the Unending Sea and so on. It's an interesting phenomena that also means there is an almost infinite amount of energy floating around in the planes of existence, this allows for the principles of magic. These planes include the: Unending Sea, Ever sky, Eternal Flame, Ever Stone, Celestialplane and Fiendplane .   These planes are more focused than those of the Real Planes. Like they are the ingredients that make up the Real Planes and each other. They are usually put in two categories, elemental plains and the power planes. The elemental planes are the: Unending sea, Ever sky, Ever stone and the Eternal flame. The Power planes are therefore the Fiendplane and Celestialplane more so as they are allegories for the nature of the power of the elements, leading to a plane of chaos and a plane of peace respectively.

The Dreamscape

Beyond the Metaphysical plane is where things get odd. The dreamscape is the realm of conscience, it however is very much real and can influence the metaphysical and real planes in various magical ways. However, the Astral-sea is the hardest plane to physically enter, but the easiest to mentally travel as technically every time you dream, you already do. Pushing physical matter into the realm of thought is a hard thing to do, requires a certain talent or heavy enchantments to not suddenly be torn apart because you had not the will to keep your matter existing in the plane. Entering mentally is different, but still dangerous, it takes the correct spells and the right training. It is easy to enter but not so easy to get back into your comatose body on whatever physical plane you left it.   The planes of the Dreamscape are less concrete than any others. They may look different depending on what is perceiving them, but generally there are three agreed upon planes in the dreamscape. The Abyss, an unknowable crypt that rare a man even try to research it lest they loose their minds. The Astral plane, the cosmic expanse of consciousness given form with all it's own inhabitants of astral beings. And lastly the rumoured Paradiso , a place nobody has ever been too but should exist in theory, the plane where your thoughts become real and you essentially can be a god of your own creation through ascendance. All who have tried to find Paradiso and enter have either failed, or never returned from the Dreamscape.
