Essence coins

The picture shows a brand new Essence coin after it has been craft-moulded by the Vault of Tenglan - the sole authority to print new essence coins in Tenglan. The information below is for all non-imperial races unfamiliar with our form of currency. All Imperials purchase items using coins of varying values. All regular coins are known as oggs and the material used for the coin determines the name and value.

Oggs available:

Picture represents the full contents of my wallet and my entire week's earnings for writing this encyclopaedia.

Coggs are copper coins - the lowest value and smallest coin. Ten coggs equals one Brogg.

Broggs are bronze coins - ten broggs equals one slogg.

Sloggs are silver coins - ten sloggs equals one drop of essence. As can be seen by the picture, the sloggs are similar to nuggets but hold no essence.

Essence coin (AKA Nugget):

Essence is stored inside a transparent container housed within the centre of a golden coin. Each coin can hold a maximum of ten drops of essence. A full coin is called a 'full' or nugget (nuggs for short). The image shown depicts a full coin. The intricate triangular design on both sides provides an easy-to-read guide to the amount of essence a coin contains.

Essence for commerce:

Essence is the most valuable currency in Lendor, used for purchasing the most expensive items Tenglan merchants have to offer. All shopkeepers have a commercial Essence Collecting Machine, which sucks the drops from their customer's coins to accept the purchase. All collected essence can either be kept on-site or, more commonly, stored in the Vaults for future access to a merchant's funds.
