Imperias City

Picture shows the ancient quarters of Ronus Canal, the older buildings then became dominated by the newer wizard glass constructions that have become more commonplace througout the Canal network.
Imperias City is the capital city of Tenglan and where the The Queen and King Johan Ganay lives—enclosed within an impenetrable 60-foot-tall wall that traverses around the entire 50km squared port city.   All major organisations headquarters are based here such as the Wizard Guild's majestic Pillars, the Elista capitale, The White Church's Dome, the Vault of Tenglan and the Merchant Guild's Parina.   If any of the Queens Dukess's have a problem with Her Majesty's rule or are struggling to maintain the order of their city, they must come to Imperias City and speak to her directly for she rarely ventures outside her Floating Palace.   The first-ever and still largest Battle Balt Tremena was built in Imperias City with every All Race League title contest held there.

Unique Imperias City Landmarks:

Ronus Canal: (For more Pictures see the gallery section at the bottom)

Imperias City is located on a vast river, and from it, the Ronus Canal system was built starting in 460AP by King Selistene Durek. Its aim was to enhance trade throughout the city, allowing crafts to circumvent the city within the confines of the city's protective walls. The canal is home to hundreds of barges that vary in size from the 20-foot speedy transport skiffs to the 60-foot 2-storey beasts that meander around Ronus, taking several hours to complete an entire circuit.   The wide variety of barges on offer means there is always at least one craft that sells precisely the products you want. At any moment, looking along the canal, you can see dozens of barges going up or down the river - either selling goods, transporting people, or functioning as floating restaurants.
Here, we can see the smaller and slower skiff variants in the poorer quarter of Ronus.   The most enormous Imperial barges have one family who mans the barge during the day and a second family for the night, all living on the same boat together. The barge completes circuits until the stock has run out, and then the barge moors at any of the four quays of light. Only the wealthiest merchants stay at the Purista Queen’s dock.   Due to Ronus's circular four-quay system, even the sixty-footers can do a 180-degree turn with plenty of space to spare and return the other way. This means after a craft has completed their first compulsory loop, they are then free to change their canal route to either clockwise or anti-clockwise at any of the four docks of light.   Barges in the other canal-based cities of Tenglan are smaller, making them faster but holding less variety of products. All barges have the merchant's name and insignia emblazoned down their side and, if widespread, painted in expensive glowing essence paint, allowing the craft to be clearly visible at night.

The Floating Palace:

A building built for the Queen by Malfus and his Wizards as a gift for her accepting his proposal to start the Guild. Allegedly, the palace floats in mid-air, although I have yet to see if this is true or not. Only those allowed entrance into the Purista District have ever seen the Palace, and fewer still have stepped beyond the hallowed entrance gates. Unfortunately, no pictures exist of the magical building, for its design has remained a secret since its creation in 751AP.

The Ganay Tree:

The 400 foot tall tree named after the King and found in Imperias City is the most famous Shiner Tree in Tenglan.

Divines:

The One Divine - The White Lord statue ten times taller than all other Divines resides at the entrance gates to Imperias City.

Homes:

Imperias City has different districts that divide the types of homes. People that live in wooden houses are based in the Quarters, those that live in homes of single-core Wizard Glass live in the strips. The waves and Purista districts house the most expensive homes made of multi-core Wizard glass.

Transport within the city:

Skiffs provide transport around the canal whilst velo-carts and horse carriages provide access to areas of the city the canal cannot reach.

Wizard Shop:

The best shop in Tenglan to buy potions and magical equipment is found in The Wizard Guild shop next to their Majestic Pillars building. It may look small, but the range of options is impressive. Go look and see what you'll find.
Butler's hint - If the price of something you want seems too expensive, go again on another day, for the price never stays the same.   The wizard shop in all its glory and also don't forget to read about Wizard Glass
A beautiful home in the Elista area. Prime real estate right on the canal
