The Primordial Dragons
Summary
When Celle, God of Knowledge and Magic, was first born into the universe he crafted of his own hands the first of the dragons. Each of the dragons embodied the aspects of creation.
First was Locus, He That Sees, to create the space for all new things.
Next was Rem, The One Who Slumbers, to dream of all materials in the new world.
Third was Tempus, She Who Waits, to allow the change to all things.
Fourth and Fifth were Animo and Anima, They Who Wander, to give thought and emotion to the beings of the world.
Finally was Imperium, He Who Takes, to give desire and power to the people.
These dragons were gifted with immortality and the task of watching over the world they helped create. Celle took watch over the slumbering Rem to protect him from all that wished an end to all things and enjoyed the company of Animo, each entertained by each others tales and knowledge. Werno befriended Tempus to watch over all of time and protect it from disruptions. Blinn nurtured and played with Anima while Temp and Thanatos tended to Anima's creations for Anima was wild and prone to neglecting her children. Sirrus played pranks on the others with Anima and Animo's help to pass time and entertain each other. Scuno and Anar worked with Imperium to tame the newly created world. For a while all was relatively peaceful. It was the youngest, Imperium, a victim of his own nature that drove him to desire more power. To take that power he created the first of the Chromatic Dragons, and he led them to conquer the world. Only by the help of Werno and Tempus, with the creation of the Metallic Dragons, that they were able to keep Imperium from consuming the world. Enraged by their resistence Imperium strove for his dragons to collect the power of his siblings in hopes to overthrow them and the gods. Celle hid away Rem, to protect him from his brother as he slept and dreamed. Animo and Anima rallied the people they gave thought and emotion to in order to fight back Imperium and his greed. Last was Locus, who disappeared into the heavens where he has not been seen in hopes of hiding from his younger brother.
