Assembly of Felion's People

The Assembly of Felion's People, also often also referred to as "the House", is the central government entity of the Dominion of Felion. It is a parliament, made up of roughly one hundred representatives, who are all citizens of Felion and hail from its different regions. Whilst most duties of the government of the Dominion are handled by lower administrative entities, the Assembly votes on all important decisions and the implementation of major laws and decrees within the colonial state.

Structure

The Assembly of Felion's People is a parliament, with currently 127 members. To ensure fairness in all decisions, people from each region of the Dominion of Felion and almost every walk of life are present. Similarly almost all races, except for Orcs, Half Orcs and Tieflings are included (which, supposedly, is due to a lack of suitable and willing candidates).
The Assembly is headed up by the First Speaker, who is also the Assembly's representative in the Central Colonial Council. The First Speaker is a kind of moderator, judge and referee for the House. Their duty is to ensure equality, fairness and proper conduct for all members of the Assembly.

Culture

Members of the Assembly are suggested and elected by their peers, most often for their outstanding conduct and qualities. Said qualities and conduct usually relate to efforts of bettering the lives of Felion's people. Accordingly, the focus of the Assembly is to ensure the wellbeing of its subjects.

Public Agenda

Bettering the lives of all people in the New World is the foremost goal of the Assembly. Through slowly building a free and independent nation, they intend to allow good living for all who contribute to the great project of settling Igniya.

Assets

Most of Felion's wealth and resources, including the men and women of the Felion Guard are at the Assembly's disposal.

History

Called together soon after the founding of Frontal, the Assembly is almost as old as civilized life on Igniya. Throughout the history of Felion, its expansion into uncharted territory and general growth in population-size, the council has gained more members and has grown into a proper government.
