The First Age is one of discovery. The world is grand and laid before its inhabitants to see and marvel at. The early tribes and kingdoms are small and their history is young.
The great port city of Dal-Tondal was founded on this day.
With the continent of Haer-Boitha now largly united, the First King of Merboitha set sail for the insert kingdom name here. Just know that they're evil. The Freemen of Duunir led the armies of Merboitha against the mad sorcerer Morrowgale on the slopes of the Four Peaks of the Western Reaches (Later renamed to Morrowgale's Fallen of The Heartstone Mountains).
On this day King Arrumund decreed that the Western Reaches, coloquilly known as the Boitha's Mane, would officially be renamed The Heartstone Mountains in honour of the soldiers that gave their lives during the War of the Million Tears.
Deep gnomes were first discovered in the southern mountain ranges of Sashiz. Nobody, including the gnomes, know where they came from and there is no known history of their type of gnome. Despite this, they tell of many generations of horrors that they endured in the darkness.
While taking shelter in a cave deep in The Heartstone Mountains, a Duunian Ranger stumbled across a gnomish city, burried deep beneath the rocks. This was the first time the species had ever been seen in Merboitha.
This age sees the remnants of the fallen empires try to fight back against their new overlords and their dark ways. This culminates in the Great Schism, in which the ability to imbue magic into items is lost entirely

Little remains of what actually occurred during the Great Schism, and many places know this event by different names. However this calamity is well known for the grand and terrifying lights that fought in the skies, bringing daylight to the night and causing the sun to become unbearable.
This began the 4th Age of Illicid.
