Ebon Library

The Ebon Library is a massive library in Elderfall, even larger than the Sages' Hall  It contains tons of books and knowledge about the Shadowfell.

History

In 70 3E, group one of The Chosen Nine visited the Ebon Library in search of information about Blackrazor. They found the following passage:
Among the countless blades forged in the annals of history, few have wrought as much devastation as the infamous Blackrazor. Once a noble weapon wielded by heroes, its destiny took a dark turn when it crossed the boundaries between planes. In the year 273 2E, Blackrazor was stolen by person unknown and taken to the Prime Material Plane.   When Blackrazor emerged in the kingdom of Arania, the sword's passage had opened a wound in reality, allowing the cursed energies of the Shadowfell to seep into the land. Crops withered, water turned brackish, and a perpetual gloom settled over Arania. Some believe that the God of Agriculture, Sylvanor, sacrificed himself to stop the curse from spreading.   Those who have wielded Blackrazor found their minds clouded by whispers of power and destruction. The blade's hunger for souls grew with each life it claimed, spreading its curse further across the realm. Legends say that only by returning the sword to the Shadowfell, or by destroying it, can the curse be lifted and Arania restored.
Leisl Siannodel, skeptical, asked the 900-year-old Libarian if that was truly all of the information they had about Blackrazor. The librarian gave them a scroll with the Prophecy of the Chosen Nine, which was then stolen by Alan. Leisl then spotted a tapestry of Sylvanor on the wall, causing her to have a vision of the Abandoned Chapel of Sylvanor.
