Background

Battlefleet Euphorian is the main naval power of the Euphorian Sector of which the Concordia Sub-Sector  is a part. It is currently headquartered on Androsta Prime and led by Lord Admiral Agemman Medland and the great Emperor-Class Battleship Magna Suspiria. The Battlefleet has a third of its resources tied up in the Argos Cluster where a great WAAAAGGGHH! invasion by the Orks was being pushed back until the opening of the Great Rift. While Lord Admiral Agemman Medland commanded portions of the fleet to redeploy, the inconsistency of the Astronomicon shining into the sub-sector has led to piecemeal redeployments. Some devastating and ill afforded losses are the result, as ships are caught unawares en route to the Rift Warzone by marauding Chaos bands or left to the predations of the Orks  pirate fleets.

Fleet Organization

Fleet Primus

Fleet Primus is one of the sub-fleets of Battlefleet Euphorian and is currently spread out between the Argos Cluster  and Androsta Prime. Originally committed to combating the Orks  in the Argos Cluster, the fleet was recalled by order of Lord Admiral Agemman Medland and what ships were able, made their way back to the capital world to take on the newly raised Astra Militarum regiments there. Although officially under the command of the Lord Admiral, it has been many years since he has stepped foot on the flagship. Admiral Genevieve Rossi commands the fleet in his absence. Fleet Primus contains 16 ships of the line, 24 Light Cruisers and 43 different squadrons of escorts.

Fleet Secundus

Fleet Secundus is a sub-fleet of Battle Fleet Euphorian  and is committed to the Rift Warzone. Originally enroute to the Argos Cluster  Fleet Secundus was taking supplies at Port Bonavera and therefore more ably placed to divert and blunt the invasion of Chaos forces with the opening of the Rift. Admiral Denis Tupikov commands the battle group with a ferocity and tactical acumen that will surely earn him the next posting of Lord Admiral. Fleet Secundus has a larger contingent of Battleships and is made up of 13 Ships of the Line, 14 Light Cruisers and 35 squadrons of escorts.

Fleet Tertius

Fleet Tertius remains in the Argos Cluster to continue the fight against the Orks however, the diversion of their reinforcements from the other sub-fleets has cost them dearly. Their commanding Admiral was killed in recent fighting and the fleet has been scattered. Should this line be broken, there will be little to counter the WAAAGGGHHH! as it builds in strength. Fleet Tertius orginally had 12 Ships of the Line but has lost 3 of them including the flag ship Nightwrath. Out of 30 light cruiser it has lost 7. From its original compliment of 30 squadrons of escorts, it has lost 15.
