Session 34: Lethargic Cantaloupe
General Summary
The session began on Fieldrest 22, 2597. Two months after the party left the material plane via a planeshift room in ruins of Silan. They arrived onto the Star'ship with A17 and Atticus who immediately said he would meet them in Skormp before jumping into the Astral Sea. The party then took a short rest before Rodan Spice boated them back to The Clockwork Planetarium with only a brief stop to release the Psychic Flail back to Commodore Olso (against the party's hopes). They smoothly brough the Star'ship into its berth and were ushered upstairs by another clockwork servant to the Planetarium level of the tower.
Within the planetarium Galendor Star and Mal'ock Star both expressed their gratitude at Kale's safe return as well as their worry. Despite their feelings, Kale and the party remained somewhat unsure of what to make of the haphazard mission. They told the Stars about the emptiness of Solreva which deeply troubled the couple and called for a need for more investigation. They told Kale he wasn't ready to be with them for eternity (a fact he immediately agreed with them upon). Instead they invited Oberon to join them in their work for the time being of investigating what is to come from the Hells. He accepted and the party took an evening of rest before plane shifting back to the above ground ruins of Silan (Kale was first given a tuning fork and a piece of moon rock to power a plane shift back to his parents when the time was right).
Having arrived back on the Material Plan midmorning of Fieldrest 23, 2597 Midmorning, the party headed back to where the Absolute Majesty II was moored South of the Ancient Forest of Silan. On the way Rodan Spice used the sending stones to check in with Atticus' beggar network in Skormp. He sent:
Upon their return, they were happy to find the Absolute Majesty II in working order and well kept by the family who had kept watch over it. Rodan Spice paid them a generous 90GP and asked them to find someone who was looking to see the world and have a job. Little Timmy ran off and came back with a lanky teen named Jandar. After a brief interview he was hired to live and work aboard the Absolute Majesty II for 3sp/day.
To kick off their journey back to Skormp, Rodan Spice started them off with a hearty sea shanty:
The party then arrived back to Skormp in the morning of HearthWarmth 8, 2597. With landing at the West Port to the city, they were interrogated about where they got the ship with some pressure going towards a bribe to make their salvage of the ship legal. However, Rodan Spice dropped his family name and got the dock master to create the legal ownership papers for them in triplicate. With creating these papers, the party was forced to finally think about how to call itself. The settled on JOINT OPERATIONS LLC (which is the owning entity for the Absolute Majesty II).
With the ship docked, the party made their way through the Squalor and the Great Market wards to the Ward of Trade and Commerce. Here they found The Final Cut where Rodan Spice could sell the parties massive diamond as well as his personal collection of gemstones. In the end, Rodan Spice sold the parties diamond for 95,000GP, his for 10,000GP, and additionally one canon installed on their ship and a pizza party at the fanciest restraunt in Skormp. Payment was issued for 105,000GP as a promisory note to the Knight's Hoard. The canon was going to be installed on the Absolute Majesty II for them. And dinner was scheduled for that evening at Elegance's Enchantmen within the Ward of Nobility. Kale was able to purchase Agate for 1050GP as a spell componet as well. Leaving here, the party split into two groups, those going to the Great Market (Tork, Wren, and Alena Birch) while Kale and Rodan Spice were going to open bank accounts at the Knight's Hoard.
At the Great Market the party bought clothing from an orange dragonborn named Taruhn. Alena Birch purchased a matching cloak for Rodan Spice for 300GP which would be ready in two days. Alena Birch and Wren purchased warm traveling cloaks for the colder winter months (though Alena Birch's would take longer for a leaf to be added, an extra day versus immediately ready). Finally Tork purchased a furry vest and a set of an orange jacket, orange pants, orange hat, and a white beard for a total of 225GP. Next they were sent to a dwarf named Rinn for weapons. From him they purchased two short swords for 25GP total, 50 arrows for 5GP total, a halbred with an "R" on it (for exchange of Tork's other non-magical weapons), and 10 daggers for 25GP (for Wren for throwing). Rinn sent them off to a potion merchant named Eldon who operated on the ground outside the Great Market. Eldon was a halfling who sold them several healing potions and Tork a questionable Potion of Phenotypical Change. With this, they were headed off to see Zirk in the Residential District.
Rodan Spice and Kale were successful in their business at the Knight's Hoard. They were shown inside and a gnomish teller directed them to Lia, an elven woman who took them to her office to open some accounts. They decided to open two accounts at a 2.5% interest rate (The Hoard's Second Highest Traditional Plan) so they would earn interest but have access to the money. After being assured discretion was the bank's mission, 85,000GP was deposited into an account for Joint Operations LLC and 10,000GP for Rodan Spice himself (doubling the bank's minimum to open an account in Rodan's case). Rodan Spice gave discriptions of the party for the Joint Operations LLC account and password protected it with the phrase Sloth-Watermelon (Audibly Say the Dash). He did not add a hint and Rodan Spice and Kale left the bank satisfied.

If you hadn't heard, Atticus is back, and we expect all previous contracts to be honored.
We copy. We have been in contact with Atticus. We will continue to work for him as arranged. Trouble at Spice Household. Tell Atticus.

In a world of waves and wonder, Sailing 'neath the endless sky, On a ship that's torn asunder, With the stars to guide us by. Yo ho, haul away, me hearties, Where the krakens sleep below, With the wind, we're never far, Singing as it blows.Along the way, Wren and Alena Birch gave Jandar quarterstaff training to help him become a better guard for the ship.
