Session 59: We Needed Dirt, We Got Dirt, Now We're Ready to Go Home

General Summary

The session began as Joint Operations LLC began descending into the depths of the water far west of the Gu'us Empire on SnowFurrow 20, 2597 around midday. Wren and Kale wild shaped into octopi and headed down into the depths carrying along the portal to the extradimensional plane stuffed with the other members of the party.
Once at the bottom of the ocean 12,000 feet below the Absolute Majesty III (and after some gambling on the way down and Jandar asking out Wren when she came in to rest), excavation of the Ship of Secrets began. Over 40 minutes all the dirt was removed by using the time shift between the portal and material plane to quickly remove dirt. Kale stashed some of the highest quality dirt for his later use and eventually the wheelhouse of the Ship of Secrets was revealed. Going insisde they found in the belly of the ship various flashing gems of lights and five long spindly creatures sitting around a cracked ship's wheel. Each of them had long straight black hair obscuring their faces with algae growing it and didn't face the party until the approached.
Wren requested from them the secret of how to seal the crack causing the blight. Before the creatures would answer, they demanded to know "The Cost of This, Whose Is It To Bear?" After Wren tried putting it on herself and them refusing to put it on the person asking for the secret, she put it on King Jorip. With this, they told her:

To combat a crack caused by shattered souls, you must seal it with blood of something greater than the thousands of mortal souls that caused the crack. Spill the blood of great power over the seal.
Atticus then, with some magical modifications to himself to breathe underwater, ventured out and desired to ask some questions to the creatures (against the warning of the forest father Silvanus). He named the person to bear his first question's cost as the Benefactor and then asked the question he was prompted to ask, "Where resides the altar of the titans":
Shattered it is. The pieces of the altar, were taken away. One still remains here. Another in a different watery depth. And a final piece, burns in the heart of fire.
Atticus then sought the answer to one final question, naming the purple minotaur Kort as bearing the cost. With this he asked his own question, "How do I commit deicide" and was rewarded with the answer:
The altar of the Titans. It was upon this altar the deities were made first from titans. It is upon it they can be unmade. And upon its shattering mortals attempted to kill all them but failed.
With these questions answered and the pressure nearly killing him, Atticus returned to the room and everyone ascended back to the surface. For those in the extra-dimensional plane, they experienced nearly four months of time while those outside only experienced a few hours. Returning to the Captain's Suite, Wren and Kale returned the painting on the back of the door to its place in the armoire and everyone exited. It was then that Atticus filled in who the Benefactor is, the person who raised Atticus. He talked about how the man made it clear he was not Atticus' father, never shared his name, and was physically, emotionally, and spiritually abusive towards Atticus.
Upon the return, Advisor Sil'a came into the room and they discussed several important topics, such as learning who won the election for Elder in the Gu'us Empire that day (the election was to ocurr on SnowFurrow 20), where to go next, and how to increase crew morale after seemingly traveling into the middle of the ocean for a couple members of the party to go for a swim with a door. Where to go next took some time as the effects of the elction might play a role, but regardless they decided they still needed to keep up appearnaces by heading for one of the diplomatic trade deal locations per their plan with Elder Je’Son (so the Coast of Gems, the Widening "V", or one of the orgs in Foun). After some fierce conversation and debate, it was decided that Rodan Spice would give a speech to the crew claiming they came here to get a weapon to kill a god (Atticus' gun taken from Jandar for the occasion) and then give them the choice of where they should go next. This plan worked excellently and the crew decided they should head to the Coast of Gems next on the far Eastern side of the Gu'us Empire. With this partying ensued as the ship set course for its two month sojourn around the Southern portion of the continent.
As the revelry started, Wren heard a voice in her head, female and gravely say "You cannot stop what was already started. You are too late." She was unsure who said these things to her and this left her with dis-ease. Advisor Sil'a told Rodan Spice that an extremely strange event was happening, that there was no word at all from Foun about who won the election and it was quite worrying. He said their spies would soon have the information. A bit later he informed Rodan Spice that the spies informed them that Elder Je’Son won but that there was still a complete lack of replies from the Gu'us Empire to formal diplomatic communications from the Fisk Empire. In response, King Jorip was calling up the entirety of the Fisk Empire's armies and navy to gather at Skormp in three months time as a precaution.
With this, everyone headed to bed (including Rodan Spice to Advisor Sil'a's quarters). As Wren was drifting off to sleep in her quarters, she blinked her eyes and saw three cloaked figures standing at the foot of her bed while the door was still barred behind them. She attacked the middle figure with an ice knife, drawing blood, and telepathically calling for help to the rest of the party. With this, the middle figure lowered his hood, revealing himself to be Elder Je’Son and saying that they needed to talk. With this the session ended in the earliest hours of the monring on SnowFurrow 21, 2597 aboard the Absolute Majesty III West of the Gu'us Empire and Rodanis Consortium.
