The Dim Night
In 2065 Circi of Greenhaven declared war upon Furt. This war would last only a year but it started with the Dim Night. The Amos family is never mentioned anymore but their family once ruled over a Hold in The Vale. They resided in Barley Fort and ruled a good amount of land around it(although not much compared to the other Ealdormen.) The Amos family were allies of Furt and the Eberson family.
On 4/3/2065 Ealdorman Circi raised her fyrd and called upon her Oathgaurd and the Wightclaw family. and attacked Barley Fort. Circi had the numbers but the Amos's had the fort, and Circi was not equipped to deal with the stone walls. The Amos's began to pick Circi's forces off, the battle was going their way for a time. And then, in the sounds of the Amos's rejoicing they heard it, the roar. They looked to the sky where they had heard it and saw nothing, nothing but two large yellows eyes, and Circi flying high above them. Black Fire washed over the walls and into the fort. As Circi drew closer into the fort they could see it, the beast she rode. It was a dragon, but not a real one, The dragon she rode was as black as the void and made from shadow. It's wicked claws and teeth cut through the Amos forces, and the black fire was their pyre.
In all but a night Circi wiped the Amos family, the barley fort and over a thousand men from the face of the earth.
