The Dragon's Duel

There have been few battles fought In The Vale that have been as influential as the Dragon's Duel. This battle was a one for the throne of Greenshire(one of The Vale's holds.) Veli Riderson, Odda Wightclaw and Elanor Trueborn all led their forces against the combined army of Borus Rider and Kane Eberson. The battle itself was a sort one but there were many causalities. Most of the Golden Horde fell along with the majority of the Iron Fortress's soldiers. Several important figures died that night as well such as: Aden Eberson, Elanor Trueborn, Lance Wightclaw, Leofric Wightclaw, and Borus Rider. The battle was ended when Borus's head was presented over the wall of Greenhaven, but it was not Veli holding it, it was Kane Eberson who had betrayed the young lord.   This battle was the start to much turmoil in The Vale but civil war was avoided due to The Vale's weakened state because of the Ashwar. Jackson Trueborn took his mother's position but not without a cost, King Titus ll demanded his lives of his brothers as punishment.   The Dragon's Duel was meant to be an end to Veli Riderson's story, but it was merely another beginning.
