Navy ranks from top to bottom:
Grand Admiral:
The highest possible rank in the navy, and is in command of the entire navy. There is only one appointed GA. It is one of the most respected, powerfull and highest esteemed positions in the Gondolian Kingdom. The holder of the rank today is Grand Admiral Thrawn Halloway. Wears a white uniform with golden trimms.Admiral:
Is in command of one or several fleets. There is only 6 positions for this rank in the Gondolian Kingdom. Wears a white uniform with silver trimms.Commander:
Is in command of several ships or a small fleet. Wears a dark blue uniform with golden trimms.Captain:
In command of a ship. Wears a blue uniform with golden trimms.Lieutenant:
Division officer/watch officer. Wears a blue uniform with silver trimms.Quartermaster:
Helmsman on board the ship serving watch at the ship's wheelSurgeon:
Tends to the sick and hurt, and is in charge of the medicine provisions onboard. Also has the rank of officer. Wears a blue and white uniform with silver trimmings, and a red cross across his front and back.Cook:

History
The Gondolian Navy is the pride and joy of The Gondolian Kingdom. After all, it was the navy that brought the gondolians to these shores about 400 years ago. It is without a doubt the most powerfull navy in the Isles of Elementiz, and it is mostly because of it's navy that The Kingdom of Gondolin managed to become and stay the largest and most prosperous and powerfull kingdom these isles have ever seen, much to the orcs of Azgrimmars dispair.
Technological Level
The Gondolian Navy is the most technologically advanced navy in all of Elementiz, maybe only second to the air ships of The Kingdom of Zendolith. But you cant really compare them, since the high elves has lost the knowledge on how to make airships. The gondolians have always been a seafaring people, so they put much effort into developing their navy. It was the gondolians that brought the devastating cannons to The Isles of Elementiz.
