Kitsune, often known as foxfolk or foxkin, are a species of humanoid beings with vulpine characteristics. They are shapechangers that usually possess two or three forms: their natural anthropomorphic fox-like form and equivalent human-like shape, and occasionally, the shape of a small fox.
They are most dominant in Tsukirai, where they are said to have first settled, but have small groups across Istralar in fey-inhabited areas. The kitsune were once fey themselves, but centuries of dwelling on the Material Plane have seen them join mortality's ranks with open arms.
Traditionally, they are tricksters and storytellers, going all the way back to their mythical roots.
