Spinepeak Mountains

The Spinepeak Mountains are a mountain range located along the northwestern edge of the Trampled Plains. The range consists of six main peaks, each with its own unique characteristics: Stormpeak, the highest point; Hornpeak, the steepest slope; Whitepeak, the coldest location; Fallpeak, a series of waterfalls; Goldpeak, the richest mines; and Ashpeak, the most volcanically active.   The Spinepeak Mountains are a rich source of minerals, including gold, silver, and iron, and have been the site of numerous mining operations throughout history. The rugged landscape and challenging terrain make the Spinepeak Mountains a difficult and dangerous place to work, but the rich rewards make it worth the risk for many.   The Spinepeak Mountains are also home to the infamous The Silver-Claw Tribe of orcs, who claim descendance from the original orcs that occupied the deserted dwarven halls after the Grand Orcish Horde conquered the area. The Silver-Claw orcs are known for their fierce reputation and are feared by many for their raiding parties and banditry in the Trampled Plains.

Ecosystem

The Spinepeak Mountains are a significant feature in the Trampled Plains, and their presence has a profound impact on the surrounding landscape and ecosystem. The six main peaks of the mountain range, each with its unique characteristics, provide a variety of habitats for different flora and fauna. Stormpeak, the highest point of the mountain range, provides a breathtaking view of the Trampled Plains and serves as a major landmark for travelers. The steepest slope of the mountains can be found at Hornpeak, making it a challenging ascent for climbers. Whitepeak is known for its frigid temperatures and is home to several unique species adapted to life in the cold.   The waterfalls of Fallpeak are a stunning sight and provide a crucial source of water for the surrounding areas. Goldpeak is rich in minerals and has attracted miners for centuries, making it an important economic hub for the region. Finally, Ashpeak is the most volcanically active of the peaks and provides a unique habitat for species adapted to life in volcanic environments.   The Spinepeak Mountains play a crucial role in the ecology of the Trampled Plains, serving as a barrier against the harsh winds and dust storms that often sweep across the plains. The mountains are also a source of water, with streams and rivers fed by the mountain's glaciers and springs flowing down to the plains, providing life to the surrounding areas.
