Emperor/Empress
The absolute ruler of the Celestial Empire
Qualifications
A Tseibajeen who was selected for the role of Emperor/Empress must have completed their full education.
Requirements
An individual must be at be legal adult within the Celestial empire, and must also be a member of the Tseibajeen species.
Appointment
An individual must be directly appointed by previous Emperor/Empress. Traditionally, appointment is hereditary and given to the firstborn child of the current Emperor/Empress. However, appointment can theoretically be given to anyone, particularly if no heir exists or if current Emperor/Empress believes none of their heirs/heiress to be fit for the position.
Duties
While an Emperor/Empress can technically do whatever they want, it is their job to make decisions that protect the wellbeing of all citizens within the Celestial Empire.
Responsibilities
The Emperor/Empress is responsible for the wellbeing of all Imperial citizens. They have absolute power over all institutional systems, and high influence over the culture.
Accoutrements & Equipment
While there is no technical requirement for any sort of dress, it is expected that the Emperor/Empress wear clothing that they intend to set as the cultural standard for all citizens.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
An Emperor/Empress can step down voluntarily at any time. However, they must appoint an individual to replace them. Additionally, death of an Emperor/Empress will also result in dismissal, after which the currently appointed individual will take up the position of Emperor/Empress. Failure to appoint a replacement individual before death will result in a power vacuum, where the nobility will vouch for their own power.
Cultural Significance
Emperor/Empress are often revered as god-like status. With such reverence, they have high degree of control over what issues are currently important, what trends are popular etc.
