Torad Family

By far the most powerful noble family outside of the royal one, the Torad’s were fortunate enough that when a daring bank robbery left most of the Marble District families impoverished, Kennan Torad had recently invested a great deal of his wealth in antiquities he had lent out to a salon in Parchen. As such, while the majority of the families were robbed of all their wealth, Kennan merely had to march to Parchen and reclaim and sell his possessions. The Torad family is not a close group, held together almost exclusively by the fact that Kennan is holding the purse-strings for the entirety of the family. They are a largely conservative family, intent on keeping traditions as well as their riches.
While the Torad family is working towards raising funds and allies to retake Marble District, old rivalries with the Mithra family is a constant issue. No matter how much Marianna urges for Kennan to let go of his old anger towards the Mithra family. Evil tongues says that Patrick once courted Akina Mithra but was scorned, quite publicly, and that a rivalry between the two families have been impossible to quench ever since.
