Devon Torran had a dream where the nine true gods visited him in his sleep, and he went on to lead a successful siege on Ironhold, marking the beginning of the Great Conquering that ultimately led to the unification of the 7 Kingdoms under the High Kingdom of Karkanna.

After the fall of Ironhold, Devon Torran continued his conquest, uniting the kingdoms of the land under his banner one by one. His armies marched on, and many lords chose to swear fealty to him rather than face the same fate as Ironhold.   As he neared the final kingdom of Blizaria, many feared the worst. The kingdom was known for its fierce warriors and strong fortifications, and it was rumored that their armies were undefeated. But Devon Torran was determined to unite the land, and he marched his army to Blizaria's borders.   The siege of Blizaria lasted for months, with both sides suffering heavy casualties. But in the end, the walls were breached, and the Blizarian armies were defeated. Rather than burn the city to the ground, Devon Torran offered the former king, Draug Starg, a deal. If he swore fealty to the new High Kingdom and followed its laws, he would be allowed to keep his kingdom.   Thus, the Great Conquering was complete, and the High Kingdom of Karkanna was born. Devon Torran was crowned High King, and the seven kingdoms were united under one banner for the first time in history.
