Tribune Cyrus Marcius Germanus Kokkinos
The 34th Tribune, Cyrus, was a relatively new fixture in his position heading the Church of Helios’ Legionary — Springstar's driving governing force that protects and guides its principles. He was a shining beacon, an example for all his people to live by; any who find themselves in his company would have said he embodied the feeling of warmth and light that any good Meri in Springstar should strive for.
He was a son of a prestigious family of Springstar, one that has prided themselves in celebrating the Meridian since the city was but a small village on a dwindling island — and despite his aristocratic roots, Cyrus was known as exceptionally approachable and down-to-earth. He listened to people regardless of their status, and there was no doubting the sincerity in his boisterous and infectious laughter. That being said, any member of the Legionary would have cautioned you not to let him treat you to a drink; he would shamelessly drink you under the table, and none could have been held responsible for any pranking that resulted from your inebriation.
Yet should you pay close attention, perhaps you might notice a trend best summarized thusly: all that glitters is not gold. Whether it was something found in Springstar, among the Legionary, or in Cyrus himself — you can feel it, can’t you? Something is… off. Something doesn’t sit quite right. But should you let it, the warm, comforting rays of the island’s suns will paint you aglow in orange light, and the bustling, ever-living beat of the city will soon carry you away on its lively rhythm.
Have faith, friend. Here you are among your fellows — among those who would see you returned home where you belong. Keep your chin up, spirits high, and do remember to be Meri, Cyrus used to say — shamelessly — with a wink and a grin.
Though he was pure of heart and sincere, Cyrus was assassinated by Zenith forces in second-Emru (February) 2024, and his soul appears to have been completely lost.
