Tohokai - Japanese Fascism
The Tohokai are a far-right ultra nationalist and militaristic party. They are smaller than the moderate parties, but hold a leveraged amount of power through intimidation from their followers, who are typically young army and navy officers, and other youths who have bought into Japanese nationalism, Hakko Ichiu, and even YamatoSupremacism. Members of the Tohokai reject the corruption and corporatism of the Seiyukai - Conservative, and Minseitō - Liberal

Stances
Industrialization
Industrialization is the machine by which Japan will become a great military power. Japan must out produce in both quality and quantity its competitors.Foreign Policy
Japan must bring the world under the hegemony of the emperor at all cost. The fighting spirit of the nation and its soldiers is supreme and will triumph over the decadent and arrogant other countries who are naught but paper tigers. China, the colonial holdings of the Europeans, and the Soviet union's western lands should be taken by force through the use of Japan's superior military presence in East Asia.Social Policy
The nation has become corrupt and decadent and must have its spiritual fervor awakened by coming together under the emperor and fighting for his will to conquer the corners of the world. Strong restrictions should be placed to enforce morality, cultural purity, and political harmony and unity.Legal System
The police and legal system must strictly enforce the laws of the nation. They're job isn't merely to keep the peace but to keep the nation pure and united, even if that means cracking down on dissent, peaceful or not.Economic System
The government has become compromised by corporatism thanks to greedy politicians and Zaibatsus who care little for the nation or its people, and only for their own wealth and power. To solve this the zaibatsus should be abolished or nationalized so that they serve the emperor and the people not the other way around. Communism is abhorrent, but so is unfettered liberalism or corporatism in the market.Political System
Many of the Meiji era institutions like the Imperial Diet have overshadowed the Emperor's divine right to rule over the nation and guide its direction. Why should corrupt politicians be in charge of the nation when the Emperor's will is absolute in its authority and wisdom?Immigration and International Trade
Foreign influence in Japan does little but damage its purity and integrity. Japan should be self sufficient and shouldn't rely on trade with inferior nations. If this means these lands must be taken by force to achieve this then so be it.Religious Law
The tolerance shown to other religions and beliefs is misguided at best and treacherous at worst. If Shinto is true, then why should Japan tolerate other religions which threaten to undermine it. Rather the nation must unite under one emperor and one religion, even if it requires legal mandating. All else should be forbidden.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
