Aubergene Ironhammer
Aubergene Ironhammer (née Thunderclaw) was a ferocious warrior during many skirmishes in The Underway, with a reputation as both brutal and efficient. In politics, she was shrewd, cutthroat and, in many cases, resorted to violence that could never quite be traced back to her; a talent Eltrat Ironhammer found intriguing.
The two met in 60AV, and were married in 62.
In 192, when all the evidence of the treachery and treason was brought forth, it was Aubergene, not Ledyard, who was the mastermind of the plot, a fact which came to light during the trial; her shrewd nature had planted the seed which grew within the minds of her husband and father in law. She, too, was put to death, but was not offered The King's Mercy; she was beheaded, her body thrown into an unmarked pauper's grave near Dun Grassi Hill.
