Dawnsinger
Ordered in 188 and commissioned in 192AV, the Dawnsinger was the first (and only) ship of it's class ever built. Taller, longer, and handier than any vessel ever made before her, she was purpose built to provide overwhelming firepower from multiple scorpions, trebuchet, and deck-mounted mangonels, as well as an entire complement of boarding marines.
She was ordered by the late Archibald Gifford, father of Baron Blaine Gifford, from Vegamos Shipwrights in Riverhaven . Though he did not live to see it completed, as he passed in 190AV, he had ordered her construction as part of a re-structuring of a growing military and the need to hunt and destroy pirates in the Reshal Sea in and around Qi'Reshalia.
Piracy was rampant for many years, culminating in the Siege of Rivercrossing in 200AV, a series of battles which the Dawnsinger participated. However, in 202AV, while headed to the Isle of Aesry Surlaenis'a with a skeleton crew for repairs, the Dawnsinger's captain was lured into a trap set by Jourok and, during a pitched battle, the ship was boarded and, ultimately, taken as a prize by the pirates.
To this day, the Dawnsinger remains the flagship of the Red Sash Pirates , her massive crimson sails visible for miles on a clear day.
