Qi'Reshalia
Though the original explorers of Qi claimed the lands in the name of Baron Blaine Gifford , giving him ostensible control of the new nation being discovered, the islands are far too remote for him to exercise any real control. As such, each island has their own governmental system in place, and runs themselves with only the tiniest amount of oversight from Therenborough , some 2-3,000 miles away.
Geography
Comprised of a large number of islands, mostly volcanic in nature, the province of Qi'Reshalia lies in the Reshal Sea, east of the landmass known as Kermoria itself. While several of the smaller islands have been known for centuries, the larger landmasses have only recently been discovered, including the Isle of Ratha in 151AV and colonization beginning in 153.
Each island so-far discovered is unique, with no two islands (except M'riss and Merkresh, which are arguably the same island) showing more than passing characteristics of any of the other islands.
There are more than twenty known islands in the chain, with more being discovered seemingly monthly by explorers and sailors, but currently only five are known to be inhabited by humanoids: Ratha, Aesry, Hara'jaal, M'riss and Merkresh.

Natural Resources
Each island holds it's own secrets, but the Reshal Sea is teeming with life both big and small, from Krill to gigantic whales and everything in between.
Tourism
The island chain draws an extreme amount of tourism every year, to it's sandy beaches, wild, teeming jungles, or simply to visit the awe-inspiring island-city of Ratha and it's massive infrastructure. Travel by boat can be cramped and disgusting, or quite luxurious depending on the coin spent and the risks one is willing to take with piracy and weather.
