Dordruil Strongstone
Dordruil Strongstone is, by many standards, incompetent. As the nominal head of a number of mining guilds and other organizations, he has created more headaches than he has solutions. When placed in charge of military operations in and around The Underway, they usually end as blunders, often with a loss of life. In his 140-odd years, it is widely accepted that the only thing he's managed to get right was his marriage to Kynara Strongstone, who has proven she will be a strong power behind the throne when Dordruil becomes Thane.

Much of Dorduil's life has been an embarassment; rarely does he lay hands on something that doesn't end up turning foul. He lacks decorum, and has been a laughing stock at a number of important functions. He barely grasps the Common language, and has, on more than one occasion, embarrassed himself or others by speaking out of turn.
Militarily, he was placed as the head of the guards patrolling The Underway; this ended after only two years, after several high-ranking officials were caught 'cooking the books' in a not-so-elaborate scheme, a scheme Dordruil allowed under his nose for nearly eighteen months.
