Dragon's Ire
Originally commissioned as 'Baroness', the frigate Dragon's Ire was captured by Jourok and the Red Sash Pirates at the Isle of Ratha .
Like many of the other vessels commissioned by the Baron of Therengia, her keel was laid in 208AV by Vegamos Shipwrights in Riverhaven. Unlike previous frigate designs, the Baroness was meant to be far more heavily armored, a sort of 'super-frigate' which carried a number of below deck scorpions for close-aboard fighting and broadsides, but who's deck-mounted trebuchet and mangonels were designed to fling pots of pitch over long distances, a way of hurling fire at enemy vessels.
While at anchor in the harbor of the Isle of Ratha in 216AV, she was boarded in silence by the Red Sash Pirates, who slaughtered the crew and put her to sea on a moonless night, escaping the harbor with their prize. Since then, she has been renamed the Dragon's Ire and serves as one of a small handful of known pirate vessels still terrorizing Qi'Reshalia .
