Mao Lynn

The Divine Daughter of Kinmei, Mao Lynn is destined to be Empress upon his death.  However, until that date, she has vowed to utilize her Arcane gifts to protect her people, her city, and, above all, her Father and their way of life.

Personal history

Mao Lynn has been gifted with the arcane as a sorcerous, and will be the first magically-talented leader of the Rock Gnomes since the death of her distant relative, Shao'ryn.  Her powers manifested early in life, and she chose to hone them to a razor's edge; under heavy protection, she attended the Umbrey College of the Arcane Arts, where she learned not only to control her powers but to manifest them in ways not previous seen amongst her people.

On her return to Edo in 39AV, Mao Lynn began sculpting creatures from clay and working them from stone, infusing them with a false life which allowed them a semblance of sentience; these golems now patrol the grounds of the Sapphire Palace as unbreathing, unfaltering bodyguards of herself and her Divine Father, TennōHeika.

As years drew on, she continued honing her craft, eventually transitioning into crafting beings of precious metals, including gold, sapphire, and platinum.  Many of these sentinels now wander the streets of Edo, a sign both of the Divine nature of her family, as well as a deterrent to crime and falsehood amongst her peoples, as well as foreigners visiting the city.
