The most Holy Emperor of the Rock Gnomes of the Underdark, Kinmei has led his people since the death of his father some five hundred years ago.
He remains an enigmatic and distant figure, living within the confines of the Sapphire Palace, where he is rarely seen by anyone except the Taishō and some of his closest servants. On rare occasion, he walks the streets of Edo, but always at a distance, making sure that no citizen comes into physical contact with him; this is to ensure that his Holy Presence is not tainted by a lesser being.
