Phoenix Temple
Known far and wide within the communities of The Underdark, the Phoenix Temple is home to some of the most devout monks of various Orders and Faiths anywhere in Kermoria. Unlike much of it's parent-city, Edo, the Phoenix Temple is entirely inclusive, regardless of race, ethnicity, or any other factor. Those that wish to learn the monastic ways of a multitude of Orders, or to simply hone their minds within it's extensive library, are free to do so without any reprisal. It is, truly, a safe space within an otherwise hostile world.
Purpose / Function
The Phoenix Temple was built originally as an orchard and garden, with tall walls to protect the trees and plants from the wildlife of the Underdark. Eventually, it became a place where both locals and travelers would go to take in a bit of greenery and find respite from the bustle of the world.
Eventually, peace and solitude attracted various monks from across Kermoria, seeking a home to practice their ways and teach them to others. Now, after nearly 700 years, the Temple serves as a training ground for some of the greatest martial artists and dedicated minds in all of Kermoria.

Tourism
Hundreds of people visit the Temple each year, either to take in their great gardens, or to simply awe at it's grandeur within an otherwise drab and dreary underground. Hundreds more make the trip each year in hopes of visiting the extensive library, which contains knowledge, scrolls, and tomes dating as far back as The Old World.
The Phoenix Temple was a favorite place of Duchess Dreamheart Delaevon during her childhood, and she took many trips to visit the library there in her teenage years.
