Sir Alan Brady, KR
A consummate cavalryman, Alan Brady's peers often said that he was 'born in the saddle'. As a dragoon, Knight-Captain Brady served honorably in The Linebreakers for several years, seeing action against bandits near Havaral, orc raiders near Rossman's Landing, and was Mentioned in Despatches after action against Anarsis, Terror of the Sands whilst protecting a trade caravan in the Velaken Desert.
In 196, while visiting River Crossing, Alan was introduced to Lenora, the daughter of the King of Zoluren; the two hit it off, and were married shortly after her eighteenth birthday, with the blessing of the King.
The two shared a love of travel and exploration, and, in 203, they departed south to explore the Pridelands in search of the fabled Altar of Lanival; tragically, they were both killed by marauding gnolls in 203. Eyewitnesses and survivors of the attack state that Alan fought 'like a man possessed' to save Lenora, severely wounded but pressing onward to ensure her safety. Only when an axe was driven through his helmet, caving his skull, did his fury end; but not before he slew his attacker with his last breath. For this, he was posthumously created a Knight of the Realm by his father-in-law, King Roger Vorclaf II.
