Urriem'tier

In life, Urriem'tier was a Lizardfolk Sorcerer from the Hex'oatl Empire, who dedicated himself to darker magics; many of his favored spells involved necrosis and blight, and the ruination of living things.  Unlike Lyras, years later, Urriem'tier did not dabble in the dark arts of raising the dead and animating corpses, though many in academia have speculated that his research, and his powers, paved the way for the rise of Lyras the first true necromancer.

Divine Domains

Urriem'tier resides over death.  Few things are guaranteed, and death is, eventually, one of them.  He ushers souls to their proper place, whether it be to the Starry Road above, or to the realms of Hell below.

Clerics in his service are, typically, of the Death or Grave domains.  On occasion, a particularly zealous cleric may find themselves in his service whilst beholden to the Peace domain, as nothing is more peaceful than eternal rest.  

There are a number of paladins in his service, many of which have taken the oath of Redemption.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Urriem'tier's sigil is the Scorpion.  It is depicted, most often,  as a black scorpion with a white tail or stringer poised to strike.

Tenets of Faith

Above all else, Urriem'tier abhors the undead.  While he frequently allows souls to be drawn back to the mortal realms via resurrection magics, it is a direct violation of his code to falsely raise something, as a skeleton, zombie, or any other such undead monstrosity.  Those that are dead should remain dead, and not be given false life to terrorize the living.

Urriem'tier often finds himself at odds with Dergati, as it is rumored she is the benefactress and creature of the vile creatures known as vampires, the undisputed Lords of the Undead.
