Warwick Hippodrome

Designed and built as part of the reconstruction period following the Lyras War, Warwick Hippodrome is home to the yearly 'Bread and Circuses' event hosted at the end of the Harvest Season, sometime towards the end of the ninth month.

Purpose / Function

Bread, circuses, racing, and revelry!  What more could a bloodthirsty populace want?  Though primarily used for races of all kinds, from horse and chariot races, to even exotic beasts from across Kermoria, it also features occasional gladiatorial combat, and is sometimes used for official events (such as the crowning of a new Ferdahl) when the expected turnout from the populace is inordinately high.

Tourism

Thousands of people from all walks of life visit the Hippodrome every year; it is, unquestionably, the largest sporting arena in Kermoria.  Though not as fancy and new as some of the others, the yearly races and competitions often draw nobles and peasants alike from as far away as Therenborough.
