Elisabeth VIII of the Third Era, ruler of Catur, holds her seat of power in Stanton, one of the twin capitals. She has retired from fighting after defeating her sister Elisabeth VII in the Queen's War.
In the year 252 AC, during the timeline of Campaign II, Elisabeth VII learned that the events of her Queen's War transpired centuries prior, and not merely months ago as initially believed. Following her ascension to the throne of Catur, Elisabeth VIII established her residence in Stanton, where she bore five offspring: three greys and eventually Elisabeth IX of the Third Era and Elisabeth I of the Fourth Era. Elisabeth VIII passed away peacefully of old age at the age of 56.

Elisabeth VIII was born in Tamerlane, Catur's ruling capital at the time, 3 years after her sister Elisabeth VII, the white princess. Her birth effectively set things in motion for the next Queen's War. Born as the second daughter, Elisabeth VIII was relocated to Stanton when she started her 'path of the Knight' (see 5 Pawns of Deus Magnus) to start her military training.
Elisabeth VIII was crowned queen of Catur after defeating her sister in battle and her sister's husband in their castle in Tamerlane. She returned to Stanton victorious and retired.
