Mal'toa
'Mal'toa' means Great Warrior and is a title given to the strongest warrior of the Sárkány Aiga.
The Mal'toa has leadership over the warriors, but shares the rule over the entire clan with the Mata'afa.
The title of Mal'toa is somewhat more transitory than that of the Mata'afa, because it is earned by proving to be the greatest warrior and to do so, one must defeat the formerly established Mal'toa. The fight between a challenger and the Mal'toa is called the Tautoga'a and must always be supervised by the Mata'afa. A Mal'toa can be challenged whenever, but there are a few restrictions:
- A Mal'toa can never be challenged two days in a row
- A new Mal'toa will be granted a "basari", a resting period after a victory, lasting until the next full moon, except when the next full moon is less than 7 days away. In that case the period lasts until the second full moon.
- Under no circumstances shall a Mal'toa be challenged in the Hibernation during Aes and High Cold.
