Strica Conservatory of Magic
Often looked down upon by students at the more affluent Chema and Ephemere Conservatories, Strica is known for producing competent battlemages. What many of its students lack in grace or formality, they more than make up for in raw power. Most students at the Conservatory come from the city of Keford, which has expanded vertically into the earth, exposing the roots of the Mojy Tree and (presumably) leading to children with higher magical aptitude. Since most residents of Strica are eager to leave, the majority of graduates are sent to Ephemere or Chema to serve as security or in other laborious jobs.
The third Conservatory to be established by the Council of Magistry, it took a lot of clamoring for it to finally happen. It was built in the northern mesas of the province, making it unappealing in an underhanded attempt to stunt enrollment rates. Its position also makes it easily defendable, leading to many Strican rebellions using it as a fortress or base of operations.
The facial markings of Strica's students are colored in shades of orange.
