The first imperial/alliance war

The first Empire/Alliance war begins raging across the land and scaring the world as the borders of both the empire and the alliance expanding. Fighting both mundane and magical is a constant, a horror never seen by mortals that continues for over a century.

After the events at Somerstead, war was officially declared by Cassion and all members of the alliance began drafting their mandatory members into the Alliance military and 5 more countrys signed into the alliance bolstering the alliance forces even more along, and at this point enough mages had joined the alliance military that the alliance could put up a reasonable, if not winning, force against the Imperials. While this would put a stop to the imperial advance west, it would also cause them to go south and most of the east was absorbed by the Empire. Despite their victorys in the south and the new members to the alliance little progress was ever made by either side during the first war, made worse by the dwarves opening selling weaponary to both sides in exchange for neither side meddling in the affairs of the mountains. The region of Fargast being fully captured by the Imperials in 598, and the liberation of Verial in 624 by the alliance only citys being the most notable victorys during the war while others were mostly less notable geographics features making the war long, bloody, and mostly fruitless.
