Astral Sea

The highest level dimensionally of The Astralverse, the Astral Sea is an infinitely vast, space-like plane of existance that serves as the original home of Celestials and Dragons. The realm is home to the phenomenon of Astral Manifestation, in which the Astral Sea produces objects, creatures, and magical energies based on the collective beliefs and dreams of mortals across reality.

Geography

The Astral Sea is made up of great expanses of open space, nebulae, and asteroids floating in its gravity-less environment. Physical planes manifest in the Astral Sea as bright stars. Most nebulae in the realm take on a shade of deep purple.

Ecosystem

Biological organisms that call the Astral Sea home often navigate the realm through methods of flight or teleportation. There are various species of plant which live in the Astral Sea which collect energy by absorbing Astral nebulae. There are herbavorous creatures which consume these plants and predators who use psychic abilities to subdue these herbavores.

Climate

Some areas of the Astral Sea are prone to a weather condition known as a Chaos Storm. These storms of black clouds and crimson lightning form where negative energies swell, such as those where damned souls gather.
