Bound by compassion
There are many more factors playing a role in how your chosen Symbiotic Relationship than simply choosing your arcane partner based on their abilities. It is widely known, that your prior relationship with the arcane animal matters greatly in how the symbiosis between you and them will go.
If the relationship happens to be benevolent, but on unequal terms, then the possibility is quite high, that the symbiosis will play out slightly differently than that of a common Tainted.
Similar to the before-mentioned state of symbiotic coexistence, becoming a Bound mage requires you to let your animal companion hurt you slightly with you initiating the force necessary. Even the tiniest scratch is enough to allow your future partner to let their mind and spirit enter yours through the wound.
The process is fully painless and you will experience a warm sensation as your future companion slowly fills out every part of your body with their presence. You will feel refreshed and empowered when the transition is completed, full of shared confidence.
You will feel the second consciousness of your partner being now placed directly behind yours interacting with you directly out of your very soul.
A state that is easily reversible as your consciousnesses are now connected in series, with you two able to switch control on the fly.
Beneficial mutual feelings
As a Bound arcanist, you have now quite a few advantages over the common Tainted.
The complicated process of deepening your knowledge with the Veil unlocking new and unique abilities expanding your arsenal is now much less difficult.
The process of Overstretching your mind serves furthermore to further deepen your relationship with your partner experiencing them on their turf.
You two will be able to coordinate your consciousnesses better the more sessions you undergo working together being now always connected through the Veil.
A state that allows your spirit to hear your thoughts whenever necessary and you theirs.
Having now a benevolent guide on your journeys into the Veil comes however with new risks you need to talk out first. It might be easier now to open the gates to the different schools of the Veil, but there is very much risk present.
If you fail to realize your or your spirit's mental limit to comprehend the new knowledge, you risk losing your friend permanently experiencing an Arcburn.

Together we are never alone!
As a Bound, you only rarely experience moments of absolute solitude. You are from the point of your symbiosis living together under one roof means you will have all the time someone who cares about you on your side, ready to help you in your darkest moments; a mental shoulder to cry on.
A shoulder that will never betray you unless you actively harm their development; use your gift wisely.
Relationships
You and your spirit are individuals. Individuals who might desire to start a relationship with others. It is not unusual, that one Bound has two families; two wives/husbands or one of each. And while the majority of Prius doesn't really understand their mental game, most support such split families seeing them as valid.
Do yourself a favour: Try to have a good relationship with your partners family as they are technically yours as well. Play with open cards or you will regret it when your consciousness accidentally swaps in the worst possible moment.
Sequenced life
Being now two individuals sharing one body came in tandem with many new challenges you two will have to face your entire remaining life.
As a Bound your arcane companion will experience a desire to be their own from time to time as well, building up a life, that might not necessarily be fully congruent with yours.
You will have to learn to give both of you the space necessary to be their own, putting your consciousness behind that of your partner letting them experience the gift of life as head of your body as well. As you are in this relationship still slightly more potent than your partner's neglecting them this time might put ill-will between you and 'you'.
And nobody wants to have someone inside you, who might dislike your course placing stones in your path briefly taking over undoing your doing.
