Rooted in affection
There are many more events playing a crucial role in how your Symbiotic Relationship with your arcane partner will initially go down. It is widely known, that your prior relationship with the arcane animal will matter greatly in how the symbiosis between you and them will matter in your coming life.
If the relationship happens to be benevolent and on equal terms, then the possibility is quite high, that the symbiosis will play out vastly different than that of a common Tainted.
As is the case with becoming a Tainted or a Bound mage, becoming a Rooted arcanist begins with a tiny wound. Feeling the gentle touch of your friend all that is left to seal the deal is to slightly push until you feel any sharp object of your pal carefully digging below the first layers of your skin. With the first sign of a wound approaching your future mental roommate will send their mind and spirit on a first and final journey into your body.
The process is not only fully painless but you will as well experience a rush of dopamine with a hot sensation passionately warming your very essence. You will feel powerful, joyfully and warm when the transition is complete, your heart and soul jumping happily.
You will immediately feel how the consciousness of your pal snuggles themselves next to yours hugging you softly placing their left hand on the imaginary joystick leaving the right hand of you on the other end of your controls. A state of parallel-connected consciousnesses is achieved allowing both of you to fluently act with each other without issues.
Constant warm feelings
Being the highest possible shared relationship, you and your partner's feelings are completely in synch.
Any sign of disagreement gets discussed out thoroughly in a sped-up portion of your mind allowing you to regain synch in a fraction of a minute.
Getting out of sync can be dangerous for both parties involved, so it is priority 1 to keep the balance.
Living a parallel life makes it much more difficult for each side to develop something of their own. Rooted appear because of that especially picky with literally everything finding a way to please both parts of the 'marriage'.

As a Rooted the process of Overstretching is a piece of cake. Having such a deep connection to the Veil from the get-go renders mental dates to the Veil developing your abilities quite enjoyable. It feels like being home; oddly entrancing.
For a Rooted the chance of getting Arcburned is especially high, even more so if a shared passion is exploration. Experiencing only minor backlashes from expanding their arcane knowledge, they won't notice their limit until it is already too late.
Even more so...for Rooted an Arcburn usually means clinical death, as one side can't exist without the other anymore.

Physical changes
To allow both shareholders of your body to have their distinct voice, your vocal cord receives a slight arcane makeover making it possible for you both to fluently talk in your own distinct voice without straining them if your voices differ too much.
Other than that your body will remain the same only your brain will receive a major makeover.
To permit you two to move without any issues, parts of the brain of a Rooted will work with increased speed allowing a fraction of your consciousnesses to spectate and argue relaxed about what will be the next move necessary; you are unintentionally watching your own life through a slowed-down movie screen while experiencing it in real life.
That means in conclusion, that your reflexes will suddenly become quite formidable as your physical abilities are from now on only restricted by your physical capabilities.

Losing a friend
The statistically most common way of achieving a Rooted symbiosis is in choosing to save a pet friend you grew up with all your life, granting them a second chance right besides you.
If you are not Tainted in that state of your relationship with the arcane animal, it is bound to happen that you two will intertwine your fates becoming Rooted.
