Supreme Abolisher
"I dislike his guts ... his lack of them ... but what can I do about it?
He is hierarchy above me supported by the laws of our lands. Tarr got buried with his title of a Grand Abolisher never being stripped away. When he returned all these millennia ago did his existence create a power discrepancy he solved by raising his status above mine and my predecessors.
Tarr is the leader of our sworn enemies, but I am by the law of our country obligated to undergo a pilgrimage to his castle ... pray for me that he doesn't curse me too heftily."Current Grand Abolisher Prokleti Mudrost
Fueled by Hate, guided by Duties
The Supreme Abolisher is the cause and reason for the existence of East-Rubeus, an undead elven lord, who took back the leadership over all, that got risen together with him all these millennia ago. Cursed by the Pulse of Vengance Rex Tarr became the main vessel of the unholy occurrence of having gotten their sacred burial grounds levelled to debris.
Tarr holds the powers of the undead in the marrow of his holy bones, spreading the plague of the never-dying revenants wherever he goes. He got chosen by the nature goddess of the earth to right the wrong that got caused to their lands. Tarr has a duty to fulfil, to his resurrector and his people. With his hate and desire to get vengeance being fully askewed and him not knowing who he has to behead anymore continued the undead lord instead to carry out his still active duties to his people.
Knowing that his mere presence is poison for the living Tarr called out an eternal war between the living half and the undead half of the continent, keeping the effects of his curse limited to the bravery on the battlefields. But these noble limitations got corrupted in the following many centuries taking away any sense and reason from the war between ancestors and descendants with Tarr's thirst for returning to the soil consuming his every aspirations for a coexistence with his living descendants.
It is stated, that the formerly known as 'Grand Abolisher' Rex Tarr, who lead our country from 813 - 946 AS, got resurrected by the atrocities of Etherium having bombarded the burial sites of his eternal rest. His mere presence causes the dead to dig themselves out of the soil to join his call for vengeance and puts us at risk to draw our last breath in his area of influence, prone to get added to his army of the damned.
Rex Tarr requested Rubeus to hand him the eastern perimeters of our continent to limit his influence not letting his people suffer from his existence. In the same sentence, he also proclaimed to raise his rank from Grand to Supreme due to the existence of two concurrent Grand abolishers not being allowed. By the rule of supremacy does the newly created rank outrank our leader causing us to be vassals of the new undead community. In consequence, war got proclaimed to maintain our independence from the unnatural.

Eternal Superiority
Holding the eternal title of being one step above the rank of a Grand Abolisher Tarr has the right to bless the reign of every ruler of West-Rubeus in his own special way.
Every Grand Abolisher is tasked to undergo one sacred pilgrimage to the castle of Supremacy letting Rex Tarr bestow his curse of vengeance to every holder of his former title. While his scarred curses formerly benefitted the reign of his counterpart became more recent iterations of that rite more and more sadistic with his existence drawing longer and longer.
"So the Mudrost's took over again, can't say I am surprised. Your family was of great importance even in my time ruling the whole of Rubeus. Let me help you, Prokleti, to see the truth, to cleanse the rotten filth of our subjects from your side of the continent.
See through my eyes, grand abolisher, see the truth and the truth only."Tarr corrupts the eyes of Mudrost with the
scarred curse of truth.

World Politics
The undead reign of Tarr got ratified in 2000 AS by the Eternal Counsel as an act of acceptance to somehow calm the wrath of the Supreme Abolisher. While the world feels never at ease to do any politics with the undead some parties actually created and maintained alliances of mutual interest. The flying city of Gemenskap even is at friendly terms with the elven lord and is allowed to do trade with the country landing in specific areas where the curse is not in active effect.
"The most I can do to set my wrongs right. You don't know to whom your desire for vengeance is directed to, Tarr.
I can't give you that satisfaction yet, as I am sadly too important to right even bigger wrongs.
All I can provide is integration and appreciation."Demigod Vapor
I will never not like having quoted pieces of things amongst an article. Seriously. It's my favorite thing. I feel like there's entire novels or libraries of things that have happened that I'm just catching glimpses of, which makes it -feel- like it's all part of something bigger and not something snatched out of the air and slapped into a quote box. Also! Daaayum look at you go with them arts. Nicely done. <3
Hugely agree with that. Quotes are the heartbeat of a good article. And since I started using alouds for micro stories to shake things up a bit I think I have found a nice mix between informative and enticing :3 And many thanks, been actually the first time in years when I attempted bones.
First time? Obviously you need to draw more.
