Clan Zazerac
"Clan Zazerac are how I finance all of my military expeditions. I know more than I let on, though, and my loyalty is to the realm, not their coin. You have nothing to fear on that."
~Margrave Arronax Skinner, Elector of Cambreath
Structure
Clan Zazerac operates in a strictly pyramidal structure, with the patriarch of the family at the top. Advising the patriarch are the seneschal and the stave. The seneschal advises on economic and business matters, and the stave advises on less pleasant business. Below this top of the pyramid are six "Cousins" who each have a dozen or so "Favorites". Each of these "Favorites" leads twelve to thirty mercenaries or thugs who conduct the day-to-day criminal activity of the clan as well as staff up its legitimate business interests.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of Clan Zazerac is purely economic and ambition. They seek to maximize profits and minimize danger.

History
Clan Zazerac was one of the first families of Krezzym. Originally, they were simple merchants and set about creating a trade empire based on the safety of their inland location combined with the opportunity for water trade provided by the Grasping River.
The first patriarch of the clan listened to the dreams of Barokaz and through him discovered the identity of Agasyl. They used that knowledge to sign pacts with her and her agents.
