The Fake Sleeping City
History
Not to be confused with the real world Kotter, dream Kotter was created after the entire town was put to sleep by the young Suplum girl, Evette.
It is said that Evette cursed the town using her gift, because she wanted to create a perfect version of the town in the collective conscious where she had friends and everyone was happy. The dream town was paradise, where people had all of their wants and dreams come true. Desires of wealth, family, fame, romance, all of them came true in this version of the town, and no one wanted to leave, even if they could.
Despite the real town decaying with age and neglect, Dream Kotter has remained a perfect, unchanging haven for the sleeping residents.
Government
Everything in the town is overseen by Evette. She knows everyone who is in the town and how to make them happy. She will create scenarios and people that feel real enough to satisfy the sleeping citizens so that they never feel the need to leave. The world is absolutely perfect, and any negativity or hardship brought into the world is quickly snuffed out. The town is also full of 'fake residents'. Dream like apparitions that look and behave like the real people they are meant to emulate, so accurately that people don't even realize they are fake. They are most often used to replace people who are not in the dream world, or people who have died in the real world. Sometimes they are people who never existed at all, such as fake wives and children, friends, fans, or co-workers.Geography
The dream world is very bright and vivid and ethereal. The landscape shifts dramatically and quickly, like a patchwork collage of different settings and environments. Some are more based in reality, while others are impossible and fantastic. Every how seems to have it's own self contained story going on. The sky is a massive spiral of stars that spins around in the sky.
Architecture
Like the environment, the houses in the dream town are varies and strange as well. The town is layed out similarly, but houses are different colors, or different shapes, or have extensions that run high into the sky. In the center of the town is a large castle where Evette's house would be in real life. The castle is grand and whimsical, baring vibrant pastels of pinks and blues. The front garden is filled with detailed topiaries that come to life, and unicorns drinking from sparkling fountains. The whole area is designed like a young girl's dream fairy tale castle.
