Ar̂tetun (arr-TETS-oon)
Ar̂tetun is the chief city of the Ivr̂ai people. It sits astride the trade road where it crosses the Tinwe River.
Government
Ar̂tetun, like most Ivr̂ai settlements, is governed by an Eisabin, who is chosen by the Ivr̂ai Council. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the local government. Though they do not report to the Catbulus, they aren't independent, either. Rather, they fall under the direct oversight of the Council.
Defences
Ar̂tetun is surrounded by an earthen rampart surmounted by a wooden palisade. There is no true city gate, just an opening in the earthworks through which people can move to and fro.
Industry & Trade
If not for the fact that it sits on the trade road from Khumrong, and to a lesser extent Panumbac, Ar̂tetun would likely have little importance. As it is, however, it sits lies on the route where the highway crosses the Tinwe River, providing an important point of resupply for trade caravans. The city collects significant tax revenues in the name of the R̂oldavum from caravans passing through.
Infrastructure
Ivr̂ai has no formal infrastructure. Streets are little more than dirt tracks, and there is no centrally planned system of drainage. Instead, it is the expectation that each property owner maintain the common areas adjacent to their property. Understandably, this system leaves a great deal to be desired.
