With Time passing Culture changes. As the Quaren people started to sepitrated and build there own kingdoms. But they still share a culuter.   Falconry and training of other birds is very common. Becomming quite the pass time. Often young kids start by training chicken, as they get older people start training more and more dangerus birds. Most homes in Parand have a roost built on there roof. These flock of birds are passed down threw the generations, more well off families even have breeds/color morphs that they are knonw for. These birds get used for anything from hunting, daily chores, to fighting. And are over all beloved pets and work along side with people.

Unisex names

Names are not gendered, any one can have any name.

Family names

Last names tend to be distripters of there family or there job.  While Noble last names are the name of the city/township they are incharge of.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Quaren is the most common langue, witch is a spin of langue of Velikan. Keeping many of the base sounds but having a simplier writing system. They are also known for having a simple sign lagauge ment only for falconry and training other animals. It's a extreamly simple verson of necrol; witch signs hardly line up in meaning, only matching in movement and shapes.

Culture and cultural heritage

Post-Quaren people continue the Quaren culture but has more influence from Necrin - Ancient Ethnicity , Ancient Velkin and The Sadette Feydom cultures. Mixing foods, language, and even art.

Shared customary codes and values

If you wittist a crime you must deal with it your self; Neighbors expect that if somthing happens to them that you'll help them, as well as they are expected to help you. This make more obvius crimes happen less but crimes where its harder to witness are more common.   Murder and Death Killing another Cuerso follower is seen as a major sin, while those murdered who are outside of the faith. is seen more of making them meat Cuerso's grace sooner.   Death is seen as the next stage of life, a path that everyone must face. Those who are sick or ingured are expected to heal or die, with little to no help from others. Some wont even warp wounds of the hurt.   Outsdiers Post Quaren has a huge hate for those that do not follow Cuerso, seeing them as agest their godness. Seeing them as sinners, disturbing, and over all disgust. Non-Cuerso follows have to prove them selfs as cuerso followers. When those who refuse to follow Cuerso Refuse to become followers of her are marked with a Cuerso eye marking on their forhead. Depending on the Cuerso celric this marking may be used as a scrying sceneor or even a curse, forcing them to worship Cuerso.

Common Dress code

Heavly layered outfits are common, with furs capes or shawls to add extra padding for shoulders. (incase a bird wants to land on you.) Clothing is non gendered and focus mainly on being useful for your job. Leather gloves are worn by just about everyone but merchants, nobles and temple workers.    Falconers: wear knitted wool hats, that are dyed bright colors and have a pom-pom on stop. Each Falcorner use driffrent color combos for their birds easy of finding them.  Falconer's also wear thick learther or quilted pads on their sholders, with a fur capelet under it; used for comfurt when birds land on your shoulders. Falconer's carry a belt bag, witch is filled with treats for their birds. Soft fabric shoes that are button on the top are common, as they help with mobillity.    Shepards: They wear falt knitted wool hats that have ear flaps. On those ear flaps they have tasles of wool; each tasel comes from one of their sheep. This is used to easy of finding your sheep when intermendinly sheep. Sheapards are known for wearing knitted undyed shawls, kniting with purls and knit stiches to add textures. Shepards are also known for wearing leather knee pads and leather boots, wtich come in handy when dealing with sheep.    Farmers:  They wear large flat woven grass hats witch has stringes to keep from falling off. Farmers wear colorful shawls that are knitted in a stranded colorwork methade. These shawls are manily made with wool that the farmer's dyed with the plants that they grow. The patterns are based off of plants that they grow. These shawls are only big enough to drape from shoulder to shoulder. Farmers also wear tightly woven aporns with pockets for tools and seeds. Just like sheapards they wear leather boots.    Merchants: Merchants do not wear hats, as they dont need to stay outside of hours a day. They wear leather shoulder pads witch are thinner then falconer's. As Merchants tend to breed fancy doves, Chickens, and song birds as pets. They also wear large knitted shalws, with grand colorwork motifts. These shawls are big enough to be warped around their body several times. Merchants also wear soft fabric shoes much like falconers, but rather then for movement its for comfornt.    Nobles: Nobles wear Head chains with big flat disks, with a eye motif. The amount of Eye disks on a head chain indecaints who is next in section for their titel. The shawls that they wear are knitted with thin yarn and made  in a lace style, with Gold coins sewed into the shawl. The shirts that overly long, and a bit oversized. But the pants that they wear are trailored and more skin tight then average. Nobles wear any shoes as long as they are well made.    Temple workers: Temple workers are only alowed to leave the temple for town festivals and coleting bodies. Beacuse of this the clothes they wear are not very patical outside of the temple. Temple works wear headbands that have their holy symbol at the fornt, and a thin trasparnet vaile. The vaile is used to protect workers from the fire and ashes in the temple. Temple workers wear a singel sheet of fabric warped around the body in a dress like style, with a belt to tie it togreather. These Warped dresses are inpered by Velikan clothing. The belt also has a small fabric taprasy with motifs of stars and eyes. They also wear soft fabric shoes, with thin souls. Temple workers also wear face paint, made with the ashes from the temple fire. This is to cary on a old Quaren tradtion, conecting the pass and the now.

Art & Architecture

Buildings tend to be tall, from 2-3 floors for the stander house. The weathier families have homes up to 10 floors tall. These homes are build for the easy of birds. The first floor of homes are made of cobble stone walls, wiith the higher fools being pannled wood. Most windows have a bird preach, and their roofs have a flat platform for birds to rost on. Homes are often decorated with bright colored fabrics, for birds to be able to fly to the right home easier.

Foods & Cuisine

Quaren food is mainly small animals witch hunting birds hunt. As well as dired foods threw out the year. Stuffing and roasting is the most common cooking tectnet. Quaren Food is often sweeten with dired berries and honey. The two main falvors of Quaren food is staly and sweet.   Samples of Post Quaren food   Dragon's Breath: A common Meal. It's a Dish that is based off of what people believe dragons eat during winter. A whole Roasted Rabbit with a Bee and honeycomb stuffing. The Strong Seasoning it has is known to make bad breath.   Goddess's Blessing: A Staple Drink in the Quaren Lands. It's made of Fruits that have been left at the alters of the God Cuerso. It's a wine   Nest Bread- In Between a omelet and a pancake. Nest Bread is made with dove eggs it has a light, airy texture. Mixed into that are finely chopped vegetables and Tree Based herbs. Flour is used to help hold all the ingredients together.   Shepherd's Tragedy Stew: A stew made with lamb meat, simmered slowly with a selection of root vegetables and barley. It's enriched with sheep milk to give it a creamy texture, and subtly flavored with honey and herbs. The lamb used in this stew come from lambs who wouldn't of made it to adulthood.   Last Spring Soup: A Common meal that is A blow of milk with dried Berries And Apples that where harvest last year.   Forest Berry Brew: A warm, comforting drink made by simmering dried berries and apples in a blend of herbal tea. It's sweetened with a touch of honey and served with a Dried Spiced Bark Stick   Woodland Cider: A sparkling cider made from the fermentation of Pine needles, apples, and berries, sweetened with a generous amounts of honey. It's served with a slice of dried apple floating on top,   Dawn's Light: A non-alcoholic beverage that is made from Dew that forms in the morning. with a squeeze of Currant berry, a dash of honey, and Dried Fey Flower. It's a refreshing, energizing drink that works as a potion of Haste.- 15 gold. ( To note this has to be drank 6 hours from buying it, before it loses it's magical effect)

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

The lambing- near the end of winter is when sheep start to have lambs. A festival is thrown when the first lamb of the year is born. A sign that spring is soon to come. If the lamb is healthy and able to walk with in 30 minutes then it's belived that the next farming year will be blessed. If the lamb takes longer then it is seem as that the next farmer year will come with many hurdles. But if the lamb is born dead, dies with in the hour, or with both the lamb and ewe die. It is see as bad luck, not just for farming but for every aspect of life. In order to bring good luck back, the dead lamb/Ewe are butchered and cooked to be the feast for the festival. Regardless of what is the outcome of the lambing, the festival is known for potlocks. Every house hold brings a dish to share with the community. People often use The Lambing to show off hawk tricks and stunts.   Last Frost-  it happens a week after the last morning first this way people can make sure that it was the Last Frost. To Start the Festival of Last Frost, the priestess “Summer’s warmth” A drink that is given to the priestess to make sure she gives the town good luck in hopes to prevent Cuerso to take anyone to the afterlife before their time durring the summer. After those who wish too hunt animals, witch are then cooked for a feast that night.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Bodies are burned with in the temples of Cuerso, They belive that the path to the after life is marked with fire. Becoming one with fire ensures that you'll find the path to the other side easier. Once a body is found its expected that you contect the local prist as soon as posibal as its taboo to touch a dead human when your not a temple worker.

Common Taboos

Killing a trained bird is seen as bad as killing a child; people who do this are often harshly punished.   Touching a Dead body when your not a temple worker; is seen as bad luck. As it's belived that as you touch the dead, your inveting demons to take your soul to the afterlife as well. Leading to a untimely death.    Healing magic and medicen is frowned apound. Really any action that can change when someone will die is seen as bad. Unless a person is hurting another person its not seen as somthing that you should step into. For sample some Post Quaren people belive that if someone is getting attacked by a bear you shouldnt help them, as if you save them you might be changing Cuerso's plan for when that person should die. Changing god's plan for death is seen as sending whole groups of people into untimely deaths as pay back from god. Many plages are thought to of started becuse someone saved another's life.

Beauty Ideals

Having scars are seen as attractive as it shows that your not afraid to live life, nor are you afraid to risk said that life. Being able to survive events that leave you scared is seen as brave and that you have good fortune.

Gender Ideals

They dont believe that gender is a thing. No matter your sex your expected to do the same things as everyone else. There is no gender roles. All tho to note sense there langueage is of Velkian roots, Their languange is gendered But their is no Ideals of what any gender needs to do.

Relationship Ideals

People who work, train, or fight togreather get married. Some marriages end if you start working more with another person; people will expect you to now marry them. Marriages are more of a system of keeping busnieses togreather rather then families. Being a child of a marriage, you'll be expcited to join the families trade as you get older.  With a system like this, Romantic feelings outside of a Marriage isnt seen as wrong untill it interfears with your trade/job. Divoering a marriage is just as easy as leaving, tho sometimes others will come in to help spetrait belongings if needed. Kids in a Divorce are expetpted to chose the parenrt they want to stay with untill they are of a age they can take care of themselfves.
