Overlord Aelzan, the first being to completely dominate the entire world of Korrisia has died. After being removed from her throne when the ambitious Dragon Vrondiss launched her draconic invasion, Aelzan was forced to find safety in hands of the Guardians. Knowing that Vrondiss' actions were manipulated by more powerful entities, the Underlords, she needed to prepare the Guardians to face Cath Cathanna, the battle of all battles.   Vrondiss was not their true foe, but the dreaded child of Kormund, Heirrath. Aelzan, revealing herself to be the last remnant of Nera, the returned mortal form of the Raven Queen, she bestowed her divine spark upon a member of the Guardians, diminishing her life force.
