The Acropolis of Rheo
An impressive citadel seated atop a sheer hill near the center of Rheo. At the acropolis’s center is the temple of Pola, large and lavishly decorated. The temple has no roof, however no rain nor snow ever pass through. Additionally, a brilliant flowing orb of light floats in the center of the temple, a small recreation of Pola’s sun itself, constantly maintained by the clerics. This orb gives off bright light and comfortably heats the temple when it is cold, while not making it sweltering in the summer months.
The acropolis itself is well defended with strong walls and surrounding cliff sides. It has chambers for the polis’s archons as well as other influential individuals within the city-state. It is visible from anywhere in the city-state.
