Malgann

Malgann is a great flat expanse of grasslands and farms. It's people have been under attack from what are commonly referred to as Bandits, but include not only armed groups of robbers, but also humanoid tribes that wander trough it's territories and that of it's neighbors. These "bandits" mostly take food and livestock when they raid, but they have also taken captives on occasion, and have been known to destroy a village defenses to make the next raid easier.  The Countess Agor the Holy, prays for deliverance from this groups as she hides in the capital, too afraid to let her army leave the capital to address the issue.

Structure

While the Countess is the ruler, and ultimately all power lies with her, she has delegated most of her duties to her council lead by the First Councilor. The Countess spends her time in her chapel praying and consulting with the High Priest, who as a member of the council, relays her wishes to them.

Culture

Malgann is a mostly agricultural land, with a few major trade cities along the great east-west trade route. The people are friendly, but wary or armed strangers, as they have been suffering under attacks from bandits and other groups for some time.

Public Agenda

The Countess wants two things for her land and her people. She wishes the bandits to be eliminated, and she wants her people to become more holy, by dedicating their lives to the Children of the Light.

Military

The armed forces of Malgann are mostly found in Sleetwell, although each lord or lady has there own forces at their disposal, the Countess has amassed a large number of soldiers at her capital to keep it safe. The soldiers are professionals with good training and experience, and their leaders are anxious to go out and find these bandits that have been attacking the towns and villages, but are being held in the capital for the time being.   Malgann also has a small navy of ten ships, that are used mostly for patrolling the waters around Sleetwell as that protects the rest of the County.

Religion

The largest Temple of the Light is located in Sleetwell, although all the towns and villages have smaller Temples, many of them constructed through the patronage of the Countess, who believes that the intervention of the Risen, is what will solve the troubles the people may face.

Agriculture & Industry

Malgann is a largely agricultural territory, with cattle, sheep and horses being raised here.  It also grows a lot of grains, and has many fruit orchards as well. These orchards also support the honey bees that produce some of the best honey in the Empire.

Trade & Transport

While Sleetwell is a great protected port, the port is small so most of the trade conducted in Malgann moves along the great east-west trade route, as the port does not have the room for many ships.

Education

The Countess is a strong believer in the Children of the Light, and insists that all the Temples in the land spend the time teaching reading and writing to the congregants so that they may study the Great Words and live holy lives for the betterment of their souls.

Always Faithful!
