House Gadwyn
House Gadwyn is a large noble family from the Qesh Dynasty. They live along the northern coast and have a grueling trek across land to any other pockets of civilization, so they must sail constantly. They've been sailing for hundreds of years at this point, and are more comfortable on the sea than on land. The older members of House Gadwyn stay in Black Pool and provide guidance and steady leadership while the younger members sail around and only rule over their ships. They were in constant rebellion against the Qesh Dynasty before finally being given more autonomy several generations back. They value autonomy and their community so highly that many still suspect that one day they'll pack up their entire city and simply set sail to a new continent, finally leaving House Qesh behind them.
