Lord Bedo
The Turncloak of Salisbury
Lord Bedo ap Annwn
Lord Knight of Westfort and Wheelwell
Former Huntsmaster of Salisbury.
Sir Bedo earned his keep as a Vavasour due to his actions at the Battle of Salisbury, where he defended Lord Roderick against a Saxon berserker. His sour attitude has not won him many friends, but the new Huntmaster of Sarum has his allies among the older and established part of the county.
He wed the widow of his cousin, Mallowch ap Seith, giving him a tie to Marshal Elad, but when his uncle Seith died as well, it fell on him to be the voice of Sarum's traditions.
Even worse. When the Earl died, he could not stand being ordered around by a widow made the puppet of a deceitful cripple, a foreigner and a delusional Roman!
He withdrew to the west, and claimed the lands of Westfort and Wheelwell, two hundreds claimed by Salisbury in the war against Summerland.
Now, Lord Bedo has awaited a time where he would be given a proper King to serve. As God meant it to be!
And yet. It was not to be. As his plans to support King Cerdic was foiled by the Lance of a untimely returned Sir Ninian, and he ended his days on the blade of Robyn de Brun and Sir Urien the Bastard , the latter making sure that his sister was widowed.
